So what do you think, why are artists so popular in the States as you, mostly only known to insiders in Germany? \nWade Bowen: Ja, es war sehr frustrierend, die Tour abzusagen. Wir wollten hier einige Shows spielen, aber durch meine gesundheitlichen Stimmprobleme mussten wir einfach canceln. Er war sehr schlimm, aber wir sind jetzt hier und starten einen erneuten Anlauf. Ich m\u00f6chte das auf jeden Fall weiterf\u00fchren und die Grundlage schaffen, wieder zu kommen und etwas aufzubauen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: Gut, ich glaube, \u00fcberall, wo du neu hinkommst, musst du einfach anfangen und die Leute mit deiner Musik anfreunden. Leute wie du helfen uns dabei, aber es ist letztendlich genau wie in den Staaten. Wir besuchen neue Orte, versuchen langsam die Dinge zu entwickeln, beziehungsweise gr\u00f6\u00dfer werden zu lassen. Deshalb ist das eigentlich genau das selbe, hier her zu kommen, wie nach Kalifornien zu fahren.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: Ich liebte das Songwriting von Anfang an und liebe es auch immer noch. Ich bin immer auf der Suche Neues zu schreiben und aufzunehmen. I push mich immer wieder selbst, um noch besser zu werden und hoffentlich bewirkt dieser Antrieb, meine Karriere weiter zu befl\u00fcgeln und die Platten ’sprudeln‘ zu lassen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: Ich glaube, es gibt zur Zeit immer noch gen\u00fcgend Acts, die aber in wahrscheinlich in Deutschland nicht bekannt sind. Da sind schon einige , die in der Red Dirt-Szene bei uns aufstreben. Das ist meiner Ansicht nach normal. Der Erfolg im Genre besteht letztendlich weiter, wie es war. Da sind auch jetzt weiterhin einige talentierte Leute. Der wohl zur Zeit die meiste nationale Aufmerksamkeit erfahrende K\u00fcnstler, ist nach meiner Ansicht Cody Johnson. Er kommt aus der Red Dirt- und Country-Szene und bringt diese Musik zur Zeit auf ein sehr popul\u00e4res Level.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: „Solid Ground“ ist das intensivste Album, an dem ich bisher gearbeitet habe. Ich habe so viele Freunde angesprochen und so viele Leute haben mir beim Schreiben und Aufnehmen des Projekts geholfen. Es ist ein einziger Liebesbrief an Texas. Ich wollte Leute dazu bringen zu begreifen, wo ich her bin und was Musik in Texas bedeutet. Ich glaube, das ist das, was du auf dieser Scheibe h\u00f6rst. Sie ist eine ehrliche Mischung aus Rock, Country und Blues.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: Ich w\u00fcrde hier spontan Bruce Springsteen<\/a> benennen. Ich habe deswegen auch meinen Sohn nach ihm benannt, ich bin ein gro\u00dfer Fan von ihm. Dazu kommen noch Guy Clarke und George Strait<\/a>, um noch zwei zu nennen. Aber insgesamt habe ich sehr viele verschiedene Einfl\u00fcsse.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: Aller Zeiten? Oh, das ist eine schwierige Frage. da \u00fcberforderst du mich. Ich w\u00fcrde spontan sagen Guy Clark „Old No. One“, Patty Griffin „Thousand Kisses“ und das „Greatest Hits“-Album der Eagles<\/a> (lacht).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: Die klappt sehr gut, wir arbeiten ziemlich intensiv zusammen. Wir haben ein Live-Album fertig und auch die Aufnahmen zum neuen Studio-Album „Hold My Beer, Vol. 2“ sind beendet. Es wir n\u00e4chstes Jahr herauskommen. Wir sind vom Ergebnis absolut begeistert und hoffen, dass es auch in Deutschland auf den Markt kommen wird.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: (Lacht herzhaft) Ich hoffe doch ein Menge! So verdient man sein Geld. Hol die Frauen in deine Shows und dann kommen die M\u00e4nner gleich mit, hahaha!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: Am liebsten besch\u00e4ftige ich mich mit meinen Kindern. Ich liebe sie und wenn ich nicht unterwegs bin, bin ich total auf ihre Weiterentwicklung fokussiert. Ich bin leidenschaftlicher Golfspieler und schaue mir auch gerne Spielfilme an. Aber an erster Stelle, stehen, wie gesagt, meine Kinder.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: Yes, it was very frustrating to cancel last year. We were trying to play over here a lot more and last year with my voice getting hurt and I had to cancel. It was very upsetting, but we start all over again now that we are here you know. It is something I want to continue and hopefully build keep coming back and watch it grow, hopefully.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: Well I think as anywhere you go brand new you have to start over and get people familiar with your music. We have people like you that help us do that, but it is the same when we were in the States. We still go places trying to grow and make it bigger. It’s tough to get the music worldwide, we were finding that’s out, that’s why we are coming over here to tour and take looking get something going here, just as we would be in California, you know.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: You know I just loved it, I still love it, I’m always looking for something new to write and record and always pushing myself to be better so I hopefully that drive keeps my career growing and keeps the records coming.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: I think there are still that many going as they were. They are probably not as well known in Germnany, but there are still quite a few popping up in the red dirt scene down there were we are. I think if it feels common than that’s ok. I think the success is still going on down there as well as it’s ever been. There are some talented people. The most one right now in the red dirt scene, who’s getting the most national exposure in the United States is Cody Johnson. He is from our red dirt scene and kinda came up to that and he is really taking red dirt and country music to a really popular level.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: „Solid Ground“ is the hardest I’ve ever worked on an album. I called on so many friends and so many people helped me write and record that project. So it is a love letter to Texas. I really wanted people to be able to hear were I come from and what’s the the sound of Texas is. And i think that’s what you hear in this project. It is Rock, it is Country, it’s blues, it’s all of those things.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: I would say Bruce Springsteen I named my son Bruce, because I’m I big fan of him. Guy Clarke, George Strait, just to name a few. I have quite a diverse group of influences.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: Ever? Uuh, that’s a touph one, you’re swamping me. I’d say just of the top of my head Guy Clark „Old No. One“, Patty Griffin „Thousand Kisses“ and Eagles „Greatest Hits“ (laughs).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: „It’s going really well. We are working on and on. We released another live album and we’re finshed a new studio album „Hold My Beer, Vol. 2“, which will be out next year. We are really proud and excited about the record and it hopefully will be out here as well.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
\nWade Bowen: (laughs) Hopefully a lot! That’s how you make your money! Get the women to your shows and the men will come, too, hahahah!

\nWade Bowen: I hang out with my kids, I love my kids, when I’m not on the road I focus on them and what they have going on, I love to play golf and I love movies, but mostly hanging out with my kids, That’s what I do.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
